From St. Malo it is a straightforward 3 hour drive following the Rennes/Nantes signs (N137) until just before Nantes, where you follow the Bordeaux signs. You go over the Loire bridge to the A83 (signposted La Roche sur Yon). This is a toll road which you leave for Belleville sur Vie. You then pass through the small town of Poire sur Vie before arriving in Aizenay.

Drive through the centre of the town until you reach the 'steel sculpture' roundabout - here you turn left onto the D978 towards Les Sables D'Olonne. After you pass the cemetery on the left, you leave Aizenay and cross the new by-pass. The road starts to rise as it enters the hamlet of L,Augiziere, and Rue de la Pree is the first turn left before the brow of the hill. Follow the lane around to the right and the cottage is on your left just around the corner - No. 8. The journey from St. Malo will take just under three hours.

If you are coming from the port of Caen, allow 4 hours, and from Cherbourg allow up to 5 hours.
